**Tatiana **Maslany is officially less than a week away from leading her next big television series. Apple TV’s new dark-comedy thriller Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed casts the She-Hulk star and Orphan Black Emmy winner as a divorced mom named Paula, who’s being pulled in about a dozen different directions at once. In the midst of navigating an identity crisis, the fallout of her divorce, and co-parenting with her ex, she becomes a witness to a potentially serious crime. Worse, the perpetrators know way more about her than they should, trapping her in a web of murder and blackmail that she needs all the help in the world to escape from. We’re excited to feature the series in Collider’s Exclusive Summer Preview event and share a new teaser illustrating just how much weight is on her shoulders.

Our exclusive teaser opens with Paula in a pawn shop, discreetly selling some valuable jewelry and maybe considering getting herself a shiny new handgun. She may need it too, given the mess she’s caught up in. As an ordinary mother just trying to live life and make sure her kids are ready for soccer practice, she’s not equipped to deal with all the lies and disappearing bodies she’s suddenly been saddled with unraveling. Fortunately, her friends are there to vent to and occasionally provide some useful information, like finding out who her favorite cam boy who got kidnapped right in front of her eyes really is. The whole mess has her diving through intimate videos and setting up a case board documenting any connection to the crime she can find. Unfortunately for Paula, someone has their eye on her, and her ex doesn’t seem to believe a word of what she’s saying.

This breakneck montage of hot-and-heavy cam sessions, complaining kids, suspicious figures, and one completely unraveling Maslany teases a series that’s funny, thrilling, twisty, and stressful, in a good way. It also highlights a star-studded supporting cast around its put-upon lead. New Girl alum Jake Johnson stars as Paula’s ex-husband, Karl, with Jessy Hodges as his new wife, Mallory. Alongside them are Dolly de Leon, Charlie Hall, Jon Michael Hill, Brandon Flynn, Murray Bartlett, and more.

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is the latest project from the mind of David J. Rosen, who previously created the Jason Ritter-led sitcom Us & Them. Rosen has padded his writing resume with plenty of high-profile shows in recent years, from Prime Video’s Citadel to other Apple TV shows like Colin Farrell-led Sugar and Invasion. Accompanying him on the dark comedy thriller as director is David Gordon Green, best known for helming the Halloween reboot series. Some of his greatest successes have been on television, where he’s served as a director and producer on everything from The Righteous Gemstones to Scarpetta and Eastbound & Down. They’re joined as executive producers on the series by Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Films and Bard Dorros for Anonymous Content.
