Vice President JD Vance To Appear On ABC’s “The View”
Disney has announced that Vice President JD Vance will appear on America’s most-watched daytime talk show, “The View,” on Tuesday, 16th June 2026, at 11 a.m. EDT on ABC, and it will also be available the next day on Disney+ and Hulu in the US.
The 50th vice president of the United States will join all six co-hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro, live in the show’s NYC studio to discuss his new book, “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.”
This marks Vice President Vance’s first appearance on “The View.” He is the third sitting vice president to appear on the Emmy-winning talk show. In addition to his new book, they will discuss priorities and goals for the administration and the latest political headlines.
“The View,” now in Season 29, is America’s most-watched daytime talk show. Called “the most important political TV show in America” by The New York Times, the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show is a priority destination for up-to-the-minute Hot Topics, invaluable conversations, celebrities, newsmakers and politicians and must-see viewing for our loyal fans.
The show is executive produced by Brian Teta and is directed by Sarah de la O.
This marks the first time a Republican Vice President has appeared on “The View”, though Joe Biden appeared on an episode in 2014 and Kamala Harris in 2024.
Disney is also currently in a legal dispute with the FCC, which launched an enforcement action and investigation into “The View” following its interview with James Talarico, who was a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Texas. The FCC states that “The View” should follow the equal time rule to provide equal opportunities and airtime to opposing political candidates running for the same office.
It’ll be interesting to see if “The View” features more politicians from both sides in the future, especially while the legal situation is ongoing, as this might help Disney’s position, but no doubt, many will also think that Disney has given in to the FCC’s demands for equal time.
