When a show boasts a stacked cast consisting of Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, chances are that it is an excellent show. The British crime thriller MobLand leans heavily into this elite pedigree, weaponizing its star power to bring a gripping London underworld tale to life. Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer in London’s criminal world whose life is closely tied to one of the biggest crime families, the Harrigans. Brosnan and Mirren play husband and wife Conrad and Maeve Harrigan. MobLand holds the crown as **Paramount+‘s most-watched non-American show, **and its success led to a second-season renewal.

However, the audience for the show on Paramount+ is a fraction of what it could be if it were available on larger streaming platforms. Paramount+ has realized that it’s in its best interest to introduce its original shows to more people globally. More viewers mean greater brand recognition and, potentially, a growing subscriber base if the streamer expands. MobLand is available to stream on foreign platforms like SkyShowtime and for purchase on PVOD services. Still, there is no bigger global platform than Netflix, and earlier this year, both streaming services struck a deal for Paramount+‘s shows to stream on Netflix after they finished airing on Paramount+.

Many Paramount+ and CBS Studios hits, like Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, and Fire Country, have been available to stream on Netflix, and they have done decently well. The caveat is that these shows are not available to U.S. subscribers, but are available to international audiences whose access to Paramount+ is limited or nonexistent. MobLand is the latest Paramount+ show to hit Netflix, and predictably, the show is a hit in many countries. Within a few days of its arrival, the crime thriller is already topping charts in countries like Greece, South Africa, and Egypt. Since there is little to no promotion for non-Netflix Originals, it remains to be seen whether *MobLand *will benefit from the Netflix Effect.

Six actors. One role. Your answers point to the Bond who shares your presence, your method, and your particular way of carrying the weight of being the most dangerous person in the room.

You are the original — and you carry that fact without needing to announce it. There is an authority in the way you occupy a room that others spend careers trying to replicate.

You understand something that more serious people miss: that wit is its own form of intelligence, and that making people laugh is not a retreat from danger but a way of mastering it.

You took the role seriously when everyone wanted you to coast — and that refusal to take the easy version of anything is the most defining thing about you.

You are the complete package — and you know it, which is part of what makes you so effective and occasionally so infuriating to the people around you.

You stepped into something enormous with less preparation than anyone around you thought was sufficient — and you delivered something genuine anyway, which is the more impressive achievement.

You stripped everything back and found what was underneath — and what was underneath was harder, more honest, and more human than anyone expected.

The licensing deal gives Paramount+ exclusive rights to new episodes, so international fans will have to wait a while before the next season is available. Filming for MobLand Season 2 wrapped, and the season is expected to premiere later in the year, but international fans face a lengthy wait; between post-production timelines, weekly rollouts, and the standard platform exclusivity window, it will likely be months before the next chapter migrates to Netflix. Details about the second season remain scarce, but** the show is expected to pick up from the Season 1 finale **and explore the fallout from several betrayals. The story is also expected to expand beyond the UK into neighboring countries and globally.

All ten episodes of MobLand are available to stream on Netflix internationally and on Paramount+ in the U.S. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
