Halo: Campaign Evolved includes some extremely challenging modifiers to shake up the experience for hardcore players, but unlocking these will require tracking down several collectible Skulls. Every Mission and Bonus Mission in Halo: Campaign Evolved has three different Skulls, and finding them all requires a little bit of know-how.
Once players reach the Two Betrayals mission, they’ll be in for one of the hardest Skull challenges up to this point in the game, with the Tough Luck Skull located in a very obscure hard-to-reach location and the Mythic Skull locked behind several doors that require defeating waves of enemy hordes.
To start off, you might as well grab the Terminal on this level seeing as it’s very easy to locate and can be found right at the beginning of the map. After progressing through Rally Point Alpha, once you are instructed to get in the first Banshee in the mission, instead of proceeding to the waypoint, fly to the top of the spire and look for a ledge with the Tough Luck Skull on it.
If you’re not a very good Banshee pilot, you can also activate the Acrophobia Skull to fly up to the ledge to grab the Tough Luck Skull.
The second Skull on Two Betrayals can be found after reaching Rally Point Charlie when you exit the bottom of the facility. You’ll see the three bridge structures, which will look familiar from the Assault on the Control Room Mission. Go over the middle bridge and follow the path forward, using your flashlight to see the Skull among some dead Flood remains and snow.
After getting in the first Banshee during the mission, fly to the top of the spire and exit. The Skull is sitting on a high ledge. (You can also fly to get this with Acrophobia enabled.)
Enemies dodge more, go berserk, and never flee.
After exiting the building from Rally Point Charlie, head straight over the middle bridge and follow the path into the corner. The skull is floating atop a pile of dead Flood and snow, but is hard to see, so you’ll want to turn your flashlight on.
Shields only recharge after melee attacks.
Before you proceed to the second Conduit objective, use the Banshee in the area with the Flood Tanks fighting the Hunters to fly up to the nearby spire platform. In the middle of the platform there’s a terminal to open a door that isn’t required for the main objective. Go straight across from this terminal to enter a new structure and progress forward through all three hallway sections, defeating all enemies to open each subsequent door. After opening the third door and eliminating all enemies in that room, the Skull will appear in the very middle of the room on a platform.
The final Skull on Two Betrayals is the Mythic Skull, and it’s easily the most difficult Skull to acquire at this point in the game. When you reach the open area with several Flood Tanks fighting the Hunters, run to the Banshee and fly up the structure right next to where it was parked and land on the above platform. You’ll see a terminal in the middle of this platform that opens a door, which is located directly across from the terminal.
After jumping over and going through the door, you’ll then need to proceed through three different locked doors. To unlock these doors, you’ll have to fight off the waves of enemies in each section, which will then allow you to open the doors from the terminals. After reaching the third room and defeating all the enemies, the Mythic Skull will appear in the middle of the room on a platform.
In terms of Skull effects for the Two Betrayals Mission, Tough Luck will present players with a significant challenge by allowing enemies to dodge better, go berserk, and will make it so they never flee from battle. The Black Eye Skull is required to unlock LASO difficulty and makes it so that your shields will only recharge after melee attacks.
Finally, the Mythic Skull is also required for LASO difficulty, and increases enemy health substantially, making them much harder to defeat. Collecting all three Skulls and the terminal on Two Betrayals will unlock the Outpost Discoveries trophy, while they’re obviously all required to unlock the Headhunter trophy in Halo: Campaign Evolved as well.
